Music Publishing Workshop for Songwriters with Tremolo Music Publishing
Creative Frame in partnership with Tremolo Music Publishing will host a workshop for musicians and songwriters.
The workshop will provide an informative discussion on the various opportunities and outlets that artists/songwriters can avail of outside of recording/releasing material and live performance to generate income streams and expand the scope of their artistic output as well as shsowing practical examples from music artists working with Tremolo.
Co-writing, placement of songs in film/tv and composing are a few areas that will be discussed as well as an understanding of publishing copyrights. Other topics that will be covered include:
- An overview of master recording/publishing rights
- An explanation of what rights a songwriter/artist possesses and how to exploit those rights
- How to register your material correctly with PRO’s to collect royalties
- Synchronization opportunities for existing recordings and how deals work
- Composing opportunities- how to avail and what it takes to create original material for projects
The workshop will be facilitated by Dina Coughlan and Rory Mac Parland.

Dina is co-founder of Tremolo, an independent music publisher which is home to a growing roster of diverse songwriters and artists. She started her career in New York working as a publicist at a number of independent record labels where she worked with an array of artists including Blackalicious, Shonen Knife, the Wrens and Luna. She also was the Music Director at the Oxygen TV Network, overseeing all music needs for the network’s productions and promos. Along with Tremolo, Dina continues to work as a music supervisor with projects including ‘The Young Offenders’, ‘Dating Amber’, ‘French Exit’ and the upcoming films ‘Joyride’ and ‘Nocebo’.
Rory is a music supervisor, songwriter and publisher with over 20 years experience in the music industry. Beginning as singer/guitarist for the band Mike TV, he relocated to New York in 1999 and joined the sync department of EMI Music Publishing. He has also worked with Sony/ATV, Heavy Duty Music, Downtown Music and Spirit Music Publishing. Since moving back to Ireland in 2014, Rory continues to focus on music publishing as the co-founder of Tremolo Songs and music supervision with Planet Of Sound Music.
