The joy and freedom we find in making and creating should be present in our artists talks, interviews etc….its all same thing! But very often, crossing the threshold into the public space can be uncomfortable, anxiety provoking and trigger feelings of self-consciousness and physical manifestations of panic, breathlessness and brain freeze.
This playful workshop will gently redirect you back to a more integrated and embodied presence, allowing you the freedom to be truly present in our engagement with small and large groups….
Theatre practitioner Declan Drohan will introduce some of the dynamic principles of the Michael Chekhov Technique and will provide you with useful tools to offset any stumbling blocks you may encounter when face to face with a live audience or group.
The workshop will be practical, clear and task based and suitable for artists in every artform, from writers or musicians who perform for audiences to visual artists or anyone who has to present their work and their practice in front of an audience or peers.
Please wear, loose , comfortable clothes you can move freely in….
