Ailie Blunnie is a singer-songwriter from Carrick on Shannon. Her début EP, “On love.. and other murder mysteries”, was released to critical acclaim in August 2013, and she received her first taste of international recognition when her wistful love song, “How much do you love me?” (track no. 3 from the EP), won the UK International Songwriting Competition 2014 (‘love song’ category), and the fourth track, “You Compare Her to a Rose” won a finalist position.
One of her new songs, “I Will Count my Blessings” features on the recent release, ‘Don’t be afraid of the light that shines within you’ – a CD produced by, and in aid of, The Samaritans – alongside Irish artists Hozier, Imelda May, Paddy Casey, Luka Bloom and more.
She is currently recording her début album, due for release August/September 2016.
